We are here
to Help.
At Madigan Counseling, we utilize a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. My holistic approach integrates evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Play Therapy and mindfulness based modalities.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder/Autism Disorder:
Neurodivergence therapy is a client-centered approach that recognizes and embraces neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other conditions. It focuses on understanding and accommodating these differences rather than pathologizing them. The therapy aims to support individuals in navigating their unique neurocognitive experiences, enhancing self-acceptance, and fostering personal growth.
Women’s Health
Women's health therapy is a specialized approach that addresses the unique physical, emotional, and social aspects of women's well-being. It encompasses a wide range of issues such as reproductive health, hormonal balance, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum care, menopause, and mental health concerns such as premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) specific to women. This therapy provides a supportive and empowering environment for women to explore and address their health needs at every stage of life.
Attachment Styles
Attachment Style therapy services focus on understanding and working with individuals' attachment patterns developed in early relationships, particularly with primary caregivers but not always. This therapy helps clients explore how their attachment style influences their current relationships and emotional well-being. Through insights gained from attachment theory, clients learn to develop healthier patterns of relating, improve communication, and foster more secure connections with others.
School & Workplace Challenges
School and workplace therapy services provide support to individuals experiencing challenges related to academic or professional settings. This includes addressing stress, anxiety, performance issues, interpersonal conflicts, and career development concerns. We will work to develop coping strategies, enhance communication skills, improve time management, and foster a positive work or school environment. Through tailored interventions, clients are empowered to overcome obstacles and thrive in their educational or occupational pursuits.
Child Parent Relations
Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a specialized form of therapy that focuses on enhancing the relationship between children and their parents or caregivers. It emphasizes the importance of strengthening attachment bonds, improving communication, and fostering a supportive and nurturing environment within the family. Through play-based interventions and guidance from the therapist, parents learn effective parenting strategies, empathy, and understanding of their child's perspective. CPRT aims to promote positive parent-child interactions, resolve conflicts, and build a secure foundation for the child's emotional and social development.
Play Therapy 5+
Play therapy services offer a unique approach to supporting children's emotional, behavioral, and social well-being. Through the language of play, children are provided with a safe and supportive space to express themselves, explore their feelings, and work through challenges. Play therapists use a variety of techniques, including toys, art, and storytelling, to engage children in therapeutic activities tailored to their individual needs. This non-directive approach allows children to process difficult experiences, develop coping skills, and build self-esteem in a developmentally appropriate manner.
